"An Explosion of Entertainment" is just
one of the descriptions that have been used to describe the
many talents of this powerhouse of fun. Not only has
she made a name for herself as one of the country's funniest
ladies, she also has a magnificent voice.
Mia's career has taken her all over the world, performing in
venues from Miami to South Africa, Hong Kong to Zimbabwe.
Over the last few years, she has spent a great deal of time
cruising, from the Med to the Caribbean, which is, as she
says, a wonderful way to entertain people.
Back in Britain, Mia has excelled in the role she has made
her own, the funny fairy in both Cinderella and the adult
version Sinderella. She starred with Jim Davidson in the two
productions of the adult pantomime in the West End and is
currently on the new UK tour for 2004. In pantomime, she has
worked with Little and Large, Bradley Walsh, Les Dennis, Max
Boyce, Ruth Madoc, Tom O'Connor, Billy Pearce, and of course
Jim Davidson to name but a few. She has done summer seasons
from Great Yarmouth to Bournemouth, Torquay and Blackpool.
Mia's television credits include The Laughter Show (BBC),
three appearances on Wogan (BBC), a series of Celebrity
Squares, countless daytime shows and her own series for TSW,
breakfast television, and celebrity appearances on many
shows. Mia remains convinced that her passport to serious
fame came after appearing with Sir Jeffery Archer on TV-am.
When Mia is not working, she is likely to be found on the
golf course. Her handicap, she says modestly, is her chest.
Mia once admitted that she is ever so ever so slightly
overweight, and very, very, undertall. Mia Carla is special.
